A great deal of time and money goes into building a boat, yet its perceived value is is usually determined by its appearance. Unfortunately, the outer layer of the glassfibre, the gelcoat isn’t sprayed post build, it’s the protective surface of the fibreglass structure which means it cannot be easily replaced. By using our boat cleaning services you can enhance and protect the appearance of your boat.
The products we use have their power through science rather than elbow grease. It means stains are neutralised and lifted without causing damage to the gelcoat. Each product is used for a specific cleaning area, combined they:
Depending on the weather, the traditional wax finish on a hull or deck usually only lasts about 3 to 6 months and because it does not clean away pre-existing micro contamination in the pores the wax seals in the contamination. We use a synthetic product which seals the microscopic pores in the gelcoat and gives a long-lasting protective film with a highly polished finish. It has better bonding characteristics than wax, better abrasion resistance and a much higher melting point. With care, your boat should remain clean and shiny for at least a full season.
